City of Water Day with Gowanus Canal Conservancy

Visit the Lowlands Nursery any time between 10am and 2pm on July 15th for City of Water Day 2023. Take part in as many activities as you would like, with something for everyone!
- Activities for all ages include: Water quality testing, re-design a street, explore wildlife, and become a Gowanus Canal steward. All activities facilitated by GCC Green Team Apprentices and GCC staff.
- The Lowlands Nursery is located at 25 9th Street and is accessible via public transit, just below the F/G subway station at Smith-9th Street.
- This event is free for all to attend.

City of Water Day activities are supported by the Hudson River Foundation, the New York-New Jersey Harbor & Estuary Program and the Waterfront Alliance.
Accessibility notes: The nursery ground is gravel and mulch throughout. We suggest packing a water as there are no filling stations at the nursery. There is no formal restroom facility on site, a single port-a-potty on site is available. There is no parking at the nursery, street parking is available in the surrounding neighborhood.
